Lake Pontchartrain and Katrina/Marine Bird Canal Cruises
Lake Pontchartrain
Lake Pontchartrain is located 5 miles north from the French Quarter and is known for beautiful sunsets, city views, and great fishing. Our cruise tours the south shore of Lake Pontchartrain making a loop along the shore in one direction and returning deeper in the lake to gain a beautiful view of the skyline. Endangered Brown Pelicans often stop by the yacht during the cruise, as well as many other seabirds.
Katrina/Marine Bird Canal Cruise
New Orleans has many famous canals, but none more infamous than the Industrial Canal whose levee failures caused New Orleans to flood during Katrina. The Katrina/Marine Bird cruise tours the Industrial Canal first and joins the Intracoastal Waterway where we head east traveling through Bayou Savage National Wildlife Refuge. This cruise is entirely on canals, so it's perfect for windy conditions or customers who are prone to sea sickness.
